TLC Polo raise the Selham Trophy

A picturesque bank holiday Monday set the scene for the Selham Cup final, the last 2 goal of the season, with No Hit Sherlock taking on TLC Polo on a busy Ambersham 1.

Chloe Kirby-Raso (-1) rode out at 1 for No Hit Sherlock, with Lucy Earl (0) at 2, Scott Anderson (1) at 3, and 2-goaler Ryan Anderson (2) at Back. Tony Lorenz (-1) wore the number 1 shirt for TLC Polo, with Francesca Townend (-1) at 2, Duncan Hotston (1) at 3, and 2-goaler Harry Revell at Back.

The first chukka saw a great start for TLC with two brilliant goals by Revell, leaving them up by 2.5 goals after the first. The second chukka saw Revell complete his hattrick with a further goal, but Anderson responded with a strong goal to cement No Hit Sherlock on the leaderboard, leaving the scores on 3.5 -1 heading into halftime.

The third chukka told a similar story with an unstoppable Revell continuing to increase TLC’s lead after successfully converting a 30-yard penalty. In the last No Hit Sherlock saw a change in tide with outstanding teamwork by the side to see another goal by Anderson and a goal by Earl, however it wasn’t quite enough to catch the unflappable TLC who took victory 4.5 goals to 3.

Tony Lorenz stepped forward to collect the Selham Trophy from Lily Revell. The Best Playing Pony was awarded to ‘Kiwi’, played and owned by Lucy Earl.
