Once again DJ Cats were contending to win their 2nd 15 goal final of the season, having won the Cicero earlier in the season.
On the field for Jon Turner’s DJ Cats were Ollie Cudmore (6 goals) playing at number 2, Glenn Sherriff (5 goals) at number 3 and Jake Daniels at Back. For Madam’s Farm, Boyd Allen at 1 (2 goals) joined by Ollie Cork (4 goals) at number 2, Rosendo Torreguitar (4 goals) at 3 and Jack Berner (3 goals) at Back.
Madams Farm started the match with 1 ½ goals on the scoreboard. The opening goal of the afternoon was scored by Jake Daniels after teammate Ollie Cudmore turned deftly on the ball and placed ready perfectly for Jake to take it to the goal and roll through the post. A foul by DJ Cats gave Ollie Cork a 40-yard penalty shot which he masterfully converted to another goal for Madams Farm.
Chukka 2 saw Boyd Allen continue the momentum for Madams with a long pass from Ollie Cork to score a decisive goal, with one more goal apiece the chukka ended – 2 to DJ Cats and 4 ½ to Madams.
Really getting into a rhythm DJ Cats dominated the 3rd and 4th chukkas to enter the 5 and final chukka leading by 10 to 6 ½. Like a terrier Ollie Cork danced around the goal to score and then popped another away to add 2 for Madams Farm, however in reply Glenn Sherriff finished the game by taking the ball the length of the Lawns 2 to make it 11 to 8 ½ at the final whistle in favour of DJ Cats.
