In the Final of the May 4 goal Spring Cup, Madams Farm with Robbie Denman (0) playing at number 1, Jack Taylor (1) at 2, Nick Johnson (2) at 3, and Boyd Allen (1) at Back, faced Maiz Dulce with Millie Coper (-2) at the front door, Harry Hickmet (1) at 2, Matt Pitts (2) at 3 and Derreck Bratley (3) at Back.
Madams Farm went into the second half with a 3-2 lead against Maize Dulce and during the third chukka increased their lead to 5-2, but a remarkable come-back in the final chukka saw Derreck Bratley’s experience clearly demonstrated by four consecutive goals to give victory to Maiz Dulce on a score of 6-5.
Peter Barfoot was delighted to present the Cup and prizes to his team.
In the subsidiary final Roderick Vere Nicoll’s Hurlingham Media beat Jo Stuart’s Los Hamblinos 3-2½.
