Lawns 2 was the venue for the Final of the Midsummer 12 goal on Bank Holiday Monday.
Maiz Dulce opened the scoring with a goal by Derreck Bratley who was substituting for an injured Jimbo Fewster. Lovelocks responded with 3 goals in the first chukka. Lovelocks managed to keep the ead at each chukka throughout the match despite Maiz Dulce playing their usual tight game with the super teamwork they have demonstrated all season.
At the end of the third chukka, Will Drewitt chased down Maiz Dulce’s John Martin preventing him from getting a goal that would have put Maiz just one goal behind going into the fourth. The Equine Management Best Playing pony was awarded to the stallion Lovelocks Bonjovi owned
and ridden by Charlie Hanbury.
